the department of general education is responsible for providing the general education for undergraduate students and the pre-university program.

the general education for undergraduate students includes the following six areas (totally 42 credits in general):

ø   university english (12 credits)

ø   university chinese (3 credits)

ø   university maths (3 credits)

ø   general education (16 credits)

ø   physical education (2 credits)

ø   cross-faculty electives (6 credits)

the pre-university program is a full time program and the normal study period is one academic year. students are required to complete a total of 53 credits, and the courses include 7 categories: chinese, mathematics, english, information technology, physical education, general education and introduction to university studies. students who complete the pre-university program can directly apply for admission to undergraduate programs.
